How to find the PERFECT CAPO — I discovered THE capo that works WITHOUT RETUNING.

As someone who uses a capo often when playing live, there's nothing more frustrating and time-wasting than having to check and retune every time I change capo positions.
I've been on a career-long quest to find a capo that works without retuning. It's a particular hassle on guitars with challenging necks (thick, thin, narrow, wide) and fretboards with either a flat or highly curved radius. It feels like I've tried nearly every capo on the market and I've spent hundreds of dollars in the process. But I learn the hard way so you don't have to!
Spring-tension capos often put too much pressure on the strings, a problem that usually gets worse as you place your capo at higher frets, where the neck usually gets thicker. Screw-type capos are usually better, but they often aren't compensated for a specific radius.
I recently saw an ad for a D'Aaddario Pro Plus capo. It's a $30 capo with a unique fretboard pad design that CLAIMS to solve ALL these problems and challenges for any guitar. OUTLANDISH!!
Of course, I had to buy and try one immediately. And I was SHOCKED how well it worked in my initial tests. In today's video, I test the simple and ingenious Pro Plus capo design with my 6 most challenging guitars.
3 acoustics: A thin-neck, low-action 1964 Gibson J-50; a V-neck, medium-action Martin HD-40; and a thick-and-wide-neck Takamine N-10 12-string.
3 electrics: A thin-neck, low-action 1968 Gibson SG Special; a super-thick-neck 1965 Harmony Rocket H-59; and a near-flat-fretboard Danelectro-style Neptune 12-string made by Jerry Jones of Nashville.
Hear how all these guitars sound using a capo WITHOUT RETUNING at the 1st fret, the 3rd fret and the 7th fret. Then decide for yourself if I've discovered the Perfect Capo!
